creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing,
taking risks, and making mistakes.
I’ve been an artist my entire life but while raising kids, my creating was with them and for them. My now grown kids have taught me that being bold and taking risks is the essence of living, so now I am choosing to create with more intention. Painting for me is both demanding and incredibly exciting. I love the switch from it all going badly to finally getting it to come together. It’s compulsive.
My work is inspired by post-impressionism with a focus on bold colors, expressive brush strokes and the simplification of form. You may see pencil strokes and loose sketches in my paintings. A painting is finished when I let go of the idea of perfectionism and see some personality.
I hold a fine arts degree from the University of Arizona, and I am influenced by my background in Graphic Design.
I paint in my home studio in Bucks County, PA.
